一 |     डिजिटल डेस्क, नई दिल्ली। पूर्व राज्यसभा सांसद और सिख मामलों के जानकार तिरलोचन सिंह ने 2002 गुजरात दंगों में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (उस वक्त के मुख्यमंत्री) की भूमिका की जमकर सराहना की है। उनका कहना है कि अगर पीएम मोदी ने इस मामले को नहीं संभाला होता तो पूरा गुजरात ही जल गया होता।,न्यूज एजेंसी एएनआई के पॉडकास्ट में बातचीत के दौरान उन्होंने कहा, "यह दंगा साबरमती एक्सप्रेस अग्निकांड से उपजे गुस्से का नतीजा था और अगर नरेंद्र मोदी ने इसे अच्छे से नहीं संभाला होता तो पूरा गुजरात ही जल गया होता।",उन्होंने कहा, "ट्रेन में जिंदा जले लोगों के शवों को उनके परिजन गांव ले जाकर अंतिम संस्कार करना चाहते थे, लेकिन नरेंद्र मोदी ने इन लोगों का अंतिम संस्कार वहीं करवा दिया। अगर ये शव गांवों तक पहुंच जाते तो सोचिए क्या होता? कितना गुस्सा भड़कता? पूरा गुजरात ही जल जाता लेकिन नरेंद्र मोदी ने साहस दिखाया और ऐसा नहीं होने दिया।",सिख नेता ने कहा, "2002 का दंगा जनता के गुस्से से उपजा था और इसमें सरकार की कोई भूमिका नहीं थी। मोदी ने इतना बड़ा काम किया किसी ने इसे हाइलाइट नहीं किया।" गौरतलब है कि गुजरात दंगों के दौरान नरेंद्र मोदी मुख्यमंत्री थे और तरलोचन सिंह अल्पसंख्यक आयोग के अध्यक्ष थे। उनका कहना है कि गुजरात दंगा 1984 में दिल्ली में हुए दंगों की तरह प्रयाजित नहीं थे।,यह भी पढ़ें- 'आपसे कोई खफा है, लेकिन आप संभाल लेंगे'; टैरिफ वॉर के बीच पीएम मोदी से बोले फिजी के प्रधानमंत्री。    Dhaka, Oct 12 (UNI) Inflation in Bangladesh accelerated to 9.52 per cent in August, the highest in 10 years, mainly driven by higher food prices, the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has reported.

In addition, the country's overall inflation eased slightly to 9.10 per cent in September, according to Planning Minister MA Mannan on Tuesday.

Data showed that food inflation soared to 9.94 per cent in August, the highest since April of 2012, and eased slightly to 9.08 per cent in September.

Non-food items inflation, however, increased to 9.13 per cent in September from 8.85 percent in August, the data showed.

Due to higher food prices amid uncertainties stemming from the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Mannan said inflation has been on an upward trend over the past several months in Bangladesh.

He stressed the need for bolstering food production domestically to rein in soaring food prices.

Mannan, however, expressed his satisfaction with the decrease in CPI in September, saying it's good news for the government as it tried to rein in inflation in line with the budgetary target.

In June, the country unveiled a record nearly 7 trillion-taka (about 70 billion U.S. dollars) national budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year starting in July and the government said it is committed to containing the rising trend of inflation by addressing inconsistencies between supply and demand.

According to the budget proposal, Bangladesh is targeting an average inflation rate of 5.6 per cent in the new fiscal year.
